An important section of the Museum is dedicated to ivory exhibits. Here we can find some valuable jewel-cases among which those in ebony from the 18th century, which show mythological stories in some pagan divinity carved on the ivory plaques; whereas another represents the Nativity, The Adoration of the Wisemen and the Crucifixion with Mary and John.

We can also observe an altar reliquary and the ivory Rod from the 17th century with stories of the life of the Virgin Mary.

The Museum also has a beautiful collection of ivory Crucifixes with Christ represented at first already dead on the cross but then, beginning from the Counter-Reformation, still alive so as to lead the Christians to greater prayer.
